One of the items that I got on my last visit to the El Greco shop was this CoP Project (by Greg Girault) called Northern Queen.
I think it's around 1/12 scale, and I tried to paint it based on Gunnhild from the TV Series "Vikings". Well, that was my intention.

As an aside, when I opened the box, I was expecting only the bust, as that was the only photo I'd ever seen on websites. What I found was a large shield, with no indication of how it should be fitted.

Eventually I decided to pin it as best I could.
Painting is a mixture of enamels, oils and printers inks.

Best wishes to all at PF for the New Year.

Cheers,
Andrew

Lovely piece, captured the spirit of the figure really well and the shield looks spot on.

And a happy new year

Cheers Simon

Thank you for your kind comment Simon.
Funnily enough, once I got over the surprise of finding the shield in the box, it proved to be the most fun to do.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Kevin,

I'm pleased you like her.
As for more, my remaining purchase at the El Greco shop is under way. It's the Scale75 'Viking Rus' set.

Bases have been combined and painted. The seated one is done and the right hand one is nearing completion.
Looks like another trip to El Greco will soon be planned.

Cheers,
Andrew

Very nice work Andrew, the flesh tones are very effective for a female figure.

Overall paintwork looks very good. Nice shield to cover up a multitude of sins. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment Wayne.
Whatever's under the shield was painted the same as the rest. Shame it's all hidden.

Cheers,
Andrew
