Well after a brief hiatus to built and paint aircraft for friends and work colleagues I'm back to working my way through the grey army.
This is the 1/10 scale bust from Nuts Planet, Knight of Heaven, any resemblance to Orlando Bloom from Kingdom of Heaven is purely coincidental, that he's the accompanying piece to Saladin who was also in Kingdom of Heaven is purely chance .
A piece of cake to build and paint, the hardest bits being the face and tabard, all painted with Vallejo acrylics.
Torso painted last Sunday at model club.
The rest finished last night, sword painted with Humbrol Metal Cote from a rattle can then polished with a cotton bud and given a wash of thinned black.
Just need to add some matt varnish here and there, the glove doesn't look that glossy close up.
Shield had layers of ivory then grey and brown dry brushed across at right angles to give the appearance of fabric weave, then more ivory, more streaking etc, cross was brush painted free hand, as we're the crosses on the tabard, not going to futz around with it as I can't believe how straight it is first time.
Regards.
Mick.
