Ah! There is a real depth being achieved with this method. With the deeper shades this is really going to pop.
Fingers crossed I don't go too far and ruin the effect.
I feel like there are probably easier methods to get similar effects, but 'verdaccio' sounds quite fancy.

I'm watching this one with interest. Coming back into the hobby there seems to be an overwhelming different techniques to achieve perfect skin tones. Green, I assume is a bold move?
Green base coat seems an unusual move. Was painting this at a model group and got some funny looks.
The internet is awash with skin tone methods. It's worth trying the unusual to see if it works for you/your particular skin tone.

The number of tutorials is mind boggling. I'll take your advice and choose colours for base coats.
 
Making progress with the skin.
It's a steady process but I think it's looking ok so far.
