If photographs were checked, you would see it was not worn on the helmet at Normandy. At least none that I have seen. If this is in fact based on Hollywood, then cool. Roll with it

The irony is that Damian Lewis doesn't even wear the patch on his helmet in BoB - so leaving it off would make the bust more accurate to both the film version and historical dress during Normandy.Anyway, it wasn't my intention to stir up a s@&t storm. Just pointing out a very common mistake that photographic evidence proves otherwise. If Hollywood is the basis, then title it as such. But if you call it a historical piece, then expect this. By the way, I didn't point out inaccuracies with the patch did I? It's a modern patch. AGAIN, it's a nice looking bust. Enjoy...
