Started life as a police cadet in the West Mids police and qualified as a PC in that force but left to join the Royal Engineers where I worked as a proud postie for 11 years before returning to the police, this time the Staffordshire force. Did 20 years with them and retired 4 years ago. I'm now a part time market researcher and full time figure devotee.

Retired professional Firefighter, over 30 years service in Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service U.K.(y)

Had quite a few occupations in my time.

Taxi driver, but people kept talking behind my back.
Worked in a dog food factory untill the retrievers were called in.
Also worked in a ballon factory untill it went bust.
Worked in a glue factory but I couldn't stick it.
I then tried a biscuit factory but that was a crummy job.

Finally I went self employed and set up a hot air ballon company but I couldn't get the business off the ground.

Seriously though nothing so glamorous as these jobs. I retired from the public transport industry after nearly forty years, eighteen months ago where I ran a Yellow school bus section. I now have my dream job.

I left out Dog trainers, Geophysicists, Computer IT nerds and something PeeDee does. We sound like an evil league of nefarious gentlemen :) Steve

I actually 'work' in the accounts dept of a small print co. in Liverpool. Quite boring work in some ways, but I do enjoy giggling people into payment that should already have been made.
That is why my alter ego the Black Shadow makes tedium bearable.

Where he is actually known as the Enforcer - a scourge of customers who are more than a micro-second late in payment. If you don't pay Paul summons the evil forces of that famous Liverpudlian suburb Notty Ash, men in skirts and sacrifices haggis to the dark spirits that lurk in the depths of Toxteth. He's also when very upset prone to send out Liverpool football shirts provided they are warn to Everton games.

Cheers
