Hello,
Here is a slight update. I am sorry that it still looks rough. At this moment, I only added a few details but mostly I am still filling in the base colours before shading and highlighting. There is many pieces so it was taking some time to make the base colors haha!

Certainly a very challenging piece and one that is very good in terms of historical accuracy.Allow me to add just a tiny comment,as far as I know japanese mail (gusari),when used on kote ( arm and forearm defences) was always laquered(covered in urushi).
Waiting eagerly to see your next steps.

Love it when we have a Japanese piece as a WIP , learn so much about a subject which I sadly know little about

Thank you very much, it is maybe shameful to say but even as Japanese I am not 100% knowing on this subject haha! But so I am very happy to learn such details because I want to try very much to make it seem accurate with the history even with a limited ability of painting. So thank you very much and I will do this as you mentioned with the history. I am grateful for the advice and please you can always feel happy to leave such a teaching because I was always happy to hear it.

Hello, I am sorry everyone got such a long time~ I was very busy with many issues so I hope it was OK. Here is an update picture~I am sorry for such a bright reflection on the model, it was dark so I needed a bright light to see it. I will try to get a better more accurate photo the next time.
