Paul, your a man after my own heart. Love the 'campaign' look. I just can't do pristine as I find it too time consuming. Very nice work mate.

Cheers

Ron

Excellent rendering of my favorite uniform. And utterly beautiful mud! I wore a uniform for a little while and seeing a figure in combat u but clean and shaven and washed just does not work. I personally got a three day growth of beard and filthy within minutes of leaving the company area!

Wonderful bit of work Paul. I think this is the nicest rendition of a Cuirassier on campaign I have ever seen, Just Superb work.

Don

Hi, Ron,Gordy,Steve,Steve,Keith and Don.
Thanks' all very much for you kindness....
For some this look is a dark art or cover up, Bill Horan took the campaign look to new hight, super neat looks cool in a comp, shows the painters skill with their medium,I'm a bore for realisum, its more of a test of my skill's.
Keith, sadly I'll not be there mate work looms as always.
Thanks' again all for looking.
Best Regards
Paul

G'day Paul,

The campaign look is the only look that really matters to me. Forget your parade ground pretty boys, this is the look of the real soldier. Mud, glorious mud.

Great painting mate.

Well you've captured the 'style' I want very well indeed. I want to perfect the campaign feel in future figures, looks like I have a lot of work to do this being the standard.

Once again great work.

Cheers Mark,your very kind.
My key is to use natures own,soil/leaf matter so on, and a dollop of PVA glue and away you go. Blue peter has so much to answer for!
I know it sounds easy,if it all goes wrong its a waste,BUT TAKE YOUR TIME,the reward can be worth it.
Best regards
Paul

(Blue Peter, for the unsure is a long standing T.V. program for kids in the UK),
in a time when as a kid you did somthing with your time after school,NO computers/ps3/x-box. How on earth did we cope!

Hi Marc,
I may bring it with me,its not realy a comp paint job,may put it on the club stand,or where I'm alleged to be doing a demo.
The painting is more for fun, just glad you guys like it.
Best Regards
Paul

Fantastic piece! I agree with all these chaps, the worn look of reality is the only way to go. beautiful weathering!

Looks like a photo of a full size mannequin from the Musee de l'Emperi in Provence. Can't get much better than that.

Colin
