Officer 6FJR Von der Heydte Normandy 1944

After a recent visit to the excellent museum at Dead mans corner in Normandy, I started this fiugre. Its 120mm and is a a junior officer of the b6th Fallshirmjager regt. Von der Heydte. It was interesting in so far as it was the first time I had seen a cut down jump smock tailored into a short blouse.Ive since found one more photograph of a sergeant wearing one. Been having a closer look at this. I don't paint figures of this scale - at least I haven't for about thirty-five
years - I always stick to 75mm or 90mm, but I shall look out for this one ... it really is very good
