Conversion of bust 17th lancers bust to Berkshire Yeomanry with legs...as if I couldn't resist it ! lol
The superb 17th lancers bust from Stormtroopers sculpted by Carl Reid 1/9 scale.
Following on from my Camel Corps conversion this was one that was screaming out for legs, in my opinion of course,
Legs were added using a wire armature and sculpted in 3 stages building up the riding breeches with a skin of magic sculpt used to create the riding boots, copper wire flattened to shape for spurs.
The original bandolier was removed and sculpted small ammo pouch on belt added along with side bag and sword, binocular case was sculpted and added with straps in magic sculpt, the water canteen was added as spare from another kit.
I removed the 17th Lancers badge & added the Berkshire Yeomanry badge to the side of the slouch hat, the badge has come a little on the big side which I may re- address, the badge being the Berkshire White Horse of Uffington with IY underneath ( Uffington white horse now being in Oxfordshire following the county changes of the early 70's) to be honest I'm sure if the cap badge was worn on the upturned side of the slouch hat or if a divisional /brigade insignia was worn, if anyone know's the answer I would appreciate the heads up on it.
I'm quite pleased with how he's come out and hope you like him too
Cheers
