Very nice Roger. I didn't know you primed white.(y)

Thank you Carl. I don't usually but there was some very minor pitting of the casting. It got a couple of coats of grey spray car primer and then I used Vallejo white pretty thick to smooth over the pitted areas. When it was dry I gave it another couple of coats of white to even it all out.

Great work so far.
It seems that the oils work better then the wather based oil.

Marc

Thank you Marc. These are the W&N Artisan Water Mixable Oils! I think it looks better because I've had more practice. :D Also the white primer coat has probably helped a little bit.
They aren't actually water based paints.

"Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour has been specifically developed to appear and work just like conventional oil colour. Like traditional oil colour, Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour is made from linseed oil and safflower oil.The only difference is the linseed oil and safflower oil used in Artisan have been modified so that they will mix and clean up with water. Artisan has been specifically developed to appear and work just like conventional oil colour. The depth of colour, buttery consistency, lightfastness, opacity/transparency, performance and drying times of Artisan, allow artists to use this range for all oil colour techniques."

I actually use White Spirit as my medium and only use water to clean my brushes afterwards.

Roger.
