Officer, French 7th Hussars 1812

I am currently working on the 54mm Stormtrooper _The Retreat_ and I have a few question since I don't have many Napoleonics references and could find little on-line. What color were the belts and pants (I know that the pants could virually any color at this point, but, ...,

Dolman - Dark Green
Collar - Scarlet
Cuffs - Scarlet
Pelisse - Dark Green
Breeches - Scarlet
Lace - Yellow/Gold.

No doubt your figure is in campaign dress and so likely to be wearing overalls
rather than breeches. A plate in the book of a Brigadier-fourrier, campaign dress 1807-08 shows the overalls as being the same dark green as the Dolman, with a scarlet stripe down the outside of the edge wear the overall button up.

The sash is red/yellow/gold

Hi, a filmic reference for you
See the Ridlley Scott's "The Duellist" the principal character performing by Harvey Keitel , is a Hussar Officer of the 7º Regiment, in you can see the evolution of the uniform trought all Napoleonic era (and the fidelity is rigth).
You can search in yahoo-france by Hussar or 7º hussar an find the renacment group (i can`t remember the link in this moment), they had many detailed photos of the uniforms.

I also painted the Retreat from Stormtrooper. In my box was a painting instruction who is very accurate.

mathew, the cross belt thingy can be painted red or a dark brown/black it would have been a private purchase so could be any colour of leather or stolen from adead college. The pants are literally any colour and are not regulation but aquired to keep warm. Sword belts would be white or possibl the same as the thingy. If you need any more help then cotact me directly with what your doing and I'll give you some ideas
