I'm working on planes to do a figure of my Grandfather who served with The New Zealand Army in France in World War One.I have good photos of him and info on where he was wounded ,even the day.
Regards,John:happy:
John look forward to your planned project of your Grandfather, I bet it'll be fantastic, looking forward to seeing it in the fullness of time.
Btw do you know if Tim has a website would be good to see any books or DVDs about this period; not seen much in the UK on this topic. I have a copy of the 57th Reg'tal history and the Opsrey book but would be great to get access to more detailed information.
Cheers

Hi Roy

Tim's best book is hard to come by as is well out of print. Colonial New Zealand Wars
However a local store still lists it here:
http://www.smithsbookshop.co.nz/bookshop/isbn1869340027.php
They are a reputable dealer.
Note there are two different covers for this title (different print editions: 1986 & 2002)

John will probably have more info as he is in close contact with Tim & has much greater knowledge than me on this period.
Tim business card doesn't mention a website sorry.

Other resources that are reliable on this era are our government projects:

Hello Roy, there is a movie called" River Queen" that Tim had some involvement with, on the technical side. Good movie you might like set in New Zealand 1860c.

@ Mike - many thanks for the links Mike. I've ordered the book for a seller on Abe - it was a tad cheaper and now I am on my occupational pension I need to count the pennies to buy more figures. Will check out the other links again many thanks.

@ John - thanks for the DVD tip. I've ordered a copy and I get the impression from the reviews the film is gritty rather than one of those sanitized history films. Plus given the films story line is not all military history she who must be obeyed might want to watch it too!!
Ta very much gents.
Roy
