Hi

Long shot here
does any one have an idea what the light company officer's wing would have looked like for an officer of the 67th (South Hampshire) regiment of foot around 1811?

I have C.E. Franklin's book british napoleonic uniforms but it does not have an illustration for this regiment

any help would be most appreciated

Thanks

Simon

Like this but with the relevant facings would be my guess mate

cheers for that Steve, unfortunately the officer wings for each regiment varied considerably in design between the different regiments so you need to know the layout of the design, which is where i'm getting stuck

Sorry then mate can't help I've looked at what little references I have and don't have anything that specific, possibly the Regimental museum if they have one ? If you get no joy here

Steve

I've been looking through what I have on my laptop here and can't find anything 67th specific either.
I would imagine the museum is that of the Royal Hampshire Regiment, http://www.serleshouse.co.uk
The other suggestion is to look for portraits of officers from the 67th c.1811 and hope you hit lucky but that's probably an even longer shot than posting the question here.

Roger.
