Oh,yes, Paul, that's just the ticket (y) A lovely crispness about it......seen an awful lot of "chalk and soot" highlighting and heavy shading at Euro this weekend ! It seems to be what the judges like currently, but it's not to my taste(as my sainted Granma would have said) I suppose we can say it is a relevant artistic interpretation; an alternative to the lighter handling of paint in past years.

I was looking forward to seeing you there, everyone said
"Taff........he was here a minute ago", sorry I kept missing you.
This was mounted on a 'black plank' top right hand side of the first bust section in the comp room.
I had a lovely time catching up with so many planeteers, I had a great time!
Glad you like it mate.
I may not win medals at euro but I'm happy if any of you guys like me stuff.

Paul

A superb piece of painting Paul. That is the sort of inspirational work on Pf that has encouraged me to get back into the hobby. Long way to go before I get to that standard though.

Thanks Chris.
This is a two year old thread and with you posting here I realised I gave Steve the wrong link fir painting gold lace.
The figure is an absolute cracker from Ross at Mitches Military Miniatures.
