Great job Paul. The photos look great but I remember the face looked even better in the flesh so bet it's stunning now it's completed. I'm not going to Euro so hopefully will get to see it at another event soon. Best of luck getting it down there.
Cheers
Mat

Cheers mat just arrived at folkestone seconds ago !
Thanks for your comments mate.
Paul

Very nice job Paul! The chasseur green is well captured(y)(y) The modeling fraternity owes a lot to Géricault come to think of it, starting with that excellent representation by Ray Lamb on the cover of the Historex catalogue ages ago.
Pity I can't see it in the flesh:cry: , but Euro once again collides with the annual big airshow here tomorrow with PdF and Frecce Tricolori and hamburgers and beer and and ...
Cheers,
Piet

Thanks piet.
I agree, enjoy them wingy things:)

Like Mat above, I've recently had the pleasure of seeing this great piece in the flesh. Excellent sculpting complimented by excellent painting. IMO better than the actual original painting, but that's just me. Hope you do well with this at Euro Paul. Good luck mate.
John.

As Andrea posted, I had just entered it in the comps, and spotted brian's bustoramas, and was chatting with mick.
John euro is a situation unique in that putting your models on show amongst these top european modellers is a humbling thing.
To get any award is such a bonus mate in such company.
I got a commended for a 32mm little lady called tinkerbelle. Tinkerbell%20003.JPG Tinkerbell%20002.JPG
This bust was unplaced, but I so enjoyed painting it.

Well it was nice to meet you Paul after having surprised me in the cafe this morning and introducing yourself, your chassuer was very well painted mate, congratulations on your awards

Likewise mate, good to start the day over a fry up that would choke the average dinosaur.
I was so impressed with the group effect of your french lollypops and the award for both sets of busts.
.
You can take a deserved rest from napoleonics for a while eh?,
Hang on...... You've bought more incha. I admit I have !
Vive les soldats de france.

A razor sharp wit , purveyor of cakes and now an outstanding painter of busts . truly a renaissance man .
That's one fine bust Paul, must be really pleased with it .
chippy

Gordon I loved it, and as someone said today, nice to see a bust mounted on a plank.
Missed you not being there for the banter mate.
