Hello there,

I would like to ask if anyone has the mix that Massimo Pasquali is using for him flesh tones. It used to be in a Pegaso's catalog.
Thank you all in advance.

Xenofon

Prime in Grey Enamel
Base coat Titanium White,Terra Rosa, Gold Ochre & Cobalt Blue
Ist Shadow, darken the base with more TR + CB & Blend

Light 1, base + TW and a dot of CB then dry.
He than applies a wash of the base colour when all is dry heavily thinned with Liquin He then reapplies all the highlights-and still there is more????
If no-one else replies I will try to put the article into a PDF for you, I'm busy this afternoon but could do it tomorrow.

Hi Kisifer,
my usual palette is the one reported by Tecumsea...
Now I usually add to the base mix also Raw Umber (I like a colder skin tone now).
If you have some question, feel free to ask me...
Thank you
Massimo

...thanks to Mao...he informed me about this thread(y)

HI Guys, I regret to report that I have just spent almost 2 hours struggling with some crap Kodak software. managed to scan the 6 pages then couldn't find any instructions to tell me where to go from there, even my daughter who is a whiz on computers couldn't fathom it-I do wish computer people would produce intuitive software that even idiots like me could use. Is there anyone out there with a copy of this article able to help. The alternative is that I print out copies and post them to you?

Ciao Massimo,

Thanks a lot for your reply my friend. I remembered I used once your mix and liked it a lot...but since I have some time to paint i forgot it.
So, my second question is about your approximate ratio of these colors.
how much do you normally use from each? Of course I'm not asking exact numbers etc..but an approximate would be great.
Thanks again.

Xenofon

well...
the ratio is not so important...it depend from your choice of flesh color...
Normally I mix a part of Terra Rosa, a part of Gold Ochre, two part of white, a bit of blue and a bit of row umber.
For shadow I add terra rosa, blue, row umber and burnt umber (the last in the second shadow).
And for light white and a bit of blue.
The first thing is to think about the final result we want (a dark burnt flesh, or a more pale tone).
I'm here for any other question...
bye
Massimo
