Here is an interesting concept that I have found,.. and have just received a few to test! ..... Fine and Medium line, oil pigment pens! rather than ink! Each has its own little 'Rattler', inside to mix up the pigment, I thought these may be handy for pattern work on cloaks etc, or for braid work! even 'Tartan', at a pinch. .. has anyone else come across them ??? Ive not used these particular ones but something similar (cant remember the make) to put helmet numbers on my 20mm WW1 German pickelhaulbs a while back! Great to use, easier than a brush for some applications!
Im assuming the principal is the same, like the metallic pens that prevail at this time of year. Just test for ink picking up if you need to varnish!

Steve, a good thought about the Varnish!.... that's if you brush it on of course ? (y) .. although I pretty much rely on spraying the finish once dried! however, it is something that needs some thought.

These pens are not very useful because of the tip.. they brake very easily since the surface we re painting on is hard as a rock... not like canvas or paper..

cheers

Sorry! 'Steve', I have been out of the 'Loop', for a while. I have/had, closed down for quite a while ! lol.. Although, I am beginning to pick it up again. I truly cannot say, if these pens are worth their while. more than likely not ! lol. but hey !

Sincerely,

Mark
