Hi Guys,

Still looking at the dress colour not 100% about it might be the pattern needs tightening up although the blue seems to work with the blanket colour ok ?....

then going to finish the awards off...then the flesh work going for a hardened veteran who his daughter just does not want to go away ...maybe never to come back ...an image so often acted out in all conflicts.

All comments and suggestions welcome

Hi Guys,

Verbal update , finished dress now a lighter violet blue with pattern , base colours on flesh area's.

Awards done on chest ..adds something extra.......

Next port of call for the brush probably cap , then papa's flesh then his daughters (might add a few spots!!)..then her blonde hair .

Going to leave the greatcoat and backpack to last so I can rest the bust on these area's if needed.

Ordering the nameplate .."trying"to get this finished for the Sutton Coldfield show on the 14th..but maybe not!

I will post pictures tomorrow.....in between painting

Picture update , worked on Papa's flesh yesterday , wanted a tired and worried look at the sametime ....

Cap all done , awards in place and done quite pleased with them .

Blanket is a blue gray with the dress being redone again ..but in a more violet blue .

To do : hair etc on Papa , the daughters flesh and hair , hands , then a check all over then the greatcoat and the backpack .....

then nameplate (all suggestions welcome especially in Russian!!!) and another is done .

Verbal update...finished his hair and have done a cross/crucifix which will be held on her hand on his chest ...........resting on her hand.

Cross/crucifix in her hand now.......must admit pleased with the result ...pics to follow later ...I am going to paint her hair!

Hi Guys ,

Picture time , been working on his and her flesh and hair , well chuffed with the crucifix think it that something extra ....and Yes she has spots on her face !!!

Going to possibly lighten the blanket ...its nearly there , nameplate ordered(in Russian ..thanks Gaudin..with English underneath and a Russian Star) then revist once all done and run away to the next (a verlinden piece) !!! etc etc
