Thanks for the link, that is one mean looking Orc!!! That's roughly what I had in mind, doubt it will be anywhere near as good as that though.

Usually same fleshtones as mothers-in-law but without so much make-up. Easy one

Good thing about painting fantasy pieces Graham is that "whatever you do is right and who can tell you otherwise". I doubt many people will have seen a real ogre so will be unable to comment on its colour. Likewise, who's to say that 8ft women are "wrong".

In other words, go mental and just enjoy the ride. The most criticism you will likely receive are if your colour choices are so bad that they hurt peoples' eyes but it doesn't mean it's wrong. I often use fantasy pieces to just throw paint around and have fun without stressing about how they look, in fact I have some sacrificial space marines which I bought for a fiver from e-bay specifically for this purpose. They have seen more stripper than Pete Stringfellow.
