Bent out of wire. Then the "lenses" were filled with Micro Crystal Clear (white glue will work in a pinch). Then I laid a spot of clear epoxy over the top of the lens to give it a bulged look. Finally, a drop of Future floor polish is dabbed on both sides of the lenses. Otherwise they remain sticky and prone to collecting finger prints and nasty stuff.....

Thanks Mike, they look so good. It's these tiny details that really get me.

Wow...glad you all like this piece and yes i have the master which i can say is truley brilliant.

The initial mould has been made and casting well. Just got some clear resin for those spectacles so play time today as not used it before.

it will be going off to ernesto as soon as the glasses are sorted for painting.

Many thanks

Stuart

Ps this will be from grenadier miniatures and will be the first figure.

Stu-if you use clear polyester for the specs. wash the castings with soapy water, it will get rid of the stickiness from them;)
An excellent figure from Mike I must say!

Cheers pete...got some polyurethane thats clear, but i will try that as i believe they can be a bit tacky

Thanks mate

Stuart

Hi Mike,

Now that is a very nice figure, he stands in a natural pose holding the telescope. Love the beard to this one might end up in my grey army.

Regards
John
