Love this , a painters piece , full of great details , great pose ..one to look out for when released .......does this mean you might be working through Victorian commanders ?...he said in hope of more ..perhaps as a bust .

I have always loved your work since I purchased your Zeppelin Commander. But I must say you have outdone yourself with this piece. Hope to see more Victorian personalities from you (Raglan, Lucan, Redvers Buller, hint hint).

It should be noted that many of the portraits of him were done toward the end of his life. The two paintings linked above are closer to his appearance when he served in India. The below illustration from an Osprey title (Queen Victoria's Commanders) was used as the primary reference:

Bent out of wire. Then the "lenses" were filled with Micro Crystal Clear (white glue will work in a pinch). Then I laid a spot of clear epoxy over the top of the lens to give it a bulged look. Finally, a drop of Future floor polish is dabbed on both sides of the lenses. Otherwise they remain sticky and prone to collecting finger prints and nasty stuff.....
