Ladies and Gentlemen, there you have my latest work, right from February!. It's the "Sirena" from Origen Art, painted in oils, the sea is medium gel and cotton soaked in water-diluted sugar and PVA. Nice and original, and not so difficult to install as it seems at first.
Hope you like it as I do.
Javier

Thanks, Colin

It's nothing more than painting the base with acrylics, soaking the cotton to give it rigdity, and then cover the base (and reinforcing the standing cotton) with gel medium. It's a trick used to simulate seas on ships stands. You can accentuate the waves' crests and throughs with paint, if needed (I did it on some crests) The gel let you to build water volumes.
