I know the Osprey titles can be hit or miss in terms of quality but I'm really unsure as to how comic books will fare. As a kid I loved reading Sgt Rock and Nick Fury and his "howling commandos". I guess these are more of what are now called "graphic novels". This would be the last thing I'd come up with for another product in their line. ;) ~Gary

This title on Atietam is due in September.

Sorry Gary - shameless plug for my kids!

My youngest son (Kyle) and my oldest son (Nick) are collaborating on a graphic novel "The Last Days of El Rey". The story so far is published on the web - http://www.jonnycrossbones.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=159.
Also available in print from http://www.lowkeycomics.com/. Kyle is the artist and Nick is the author. It's loosely based on the end of a Jim Thompson crime noir story, "The Getaway" and a labor of love for both. I'm just a little bit prejudiced maybe, but I think the stuff on the web is excellent so far. But, stay tuned, the stuff they're working on now is stunner!

Osprey comic book history...naw, that dog don't hunt.

All the best,
Dan

Dan, By all means plug your kids. there are too many that DO NOT have the encouragement of their parents.

I just think in terms of their product line that "graphic novels" are a odd addition to their product line. I the intent is to foster interest in a younger audience (which I think it is) in history, then go ahead with it.~Gary
