Hi all - my latest project; YS Masterpieces’ 1/9 half-figure of an Ottoman military leader from the Greek Revolt period in oils and acrylics. Bit of a backstory to this one; it was already partially completed by a friend, Canadian modeler (and pF member) Paul Kernan, before his untimely passing two years ago - a friend asked me to have a go at completing it. I followed the colour cues in the undercoats Paul had applied to finish up the large cloth areas (shirt, vest, sash, trim) and some other small details to complete the piece. Here’s hoping that it somewhat captures the spirit of what Paul was intending for it:

Beautiful work and an amazing thing to do...that's really cool you finished something he began. I met Paul in Chicago once and he seemed a great fellow. Did not know he's gone away from us.

I believe he'd be really pleased with your work!
