Please could someone help me. I have started a youngs bust, but would like to start again. I have started painting the bust with Vallejo paint, both under coat and top layer patterns. Does anybody have any ideas of how I can remove the paints without effecting the bust

Cheers

"Revell Airbrushcleaner" works pretty good with acrylics and resin. I use it all the time, also works good with metal and some plastic figures.
Do not soak the figures, just dip an old/ cheap bristle brush into the cleaner and brush off the color. Works nearly instantly and uses only a few millilitres.

Vallejo is a bit of a git to remove and oven cleaner I have found has little affect.
IPA is brilliant at removal , Iso-propyl alcohol. I buy online from chemist supplies and 5 litres is about £10. They deliver UK so elsewhere should also have no probs.
Regards
Also great for thinning acrylics in airbrush and way cheaper than specific thinners which us basically the same.

i always use a product called purple power. i get it from Wal-Marts about 5 dollars a gallon.i have never had a problem with it , on plastic resin or even conversion kits with putty on them. i place what i want to clean in a container that hasa lid, submerge the model in it ,come back the next day and use dish soap and toothbrush with warm water to scrub it clean. it takes about 99% of the stuff off. if you would like send me an email and i can show you some pics of some kits i have used it on and repainted. now i only use acrylics so i do notknow how it works with oils or inks.
hope this is helpful.

SuperClean. It's a de-greaser, might be similar in its formula to Rick's Purple Power, and it's also sold at Walmart, but probably also at automotive supply stores. I use the same method as Rick describes, filling a container with some SuperClean and soaking the parts in it. After about 10 minutes or so, the paint is softened enough to remove with an old toothbrush. It took the chrome of the chrome fret in Monogram's Red Baron hot rod kit in under 2 minutes. I've used it for acrylics, enamels and oils.

Hope that helps, prosit!

Fairy Power Spray.

Spray on, leave to soak (prefereably covered, Plastic bag or tupperware tub etc) wash off under tap.
