82. Day, 14. February 2011

Warmly welcome to the new week!

Today I have not painted for all possible reasons a lot – only the field blouses "segment" below between button strip and saber strap …:

82_1.jpg

82_2.jpg

Moreover, I have taken away with the high-level lights in the shoulders still a little bit what, even if in the pictures hardly strikes.

There I will completely go in the end once more in detail.

The pistol-cord will become blue, by the way. It is a pity that here in my small survey nobody has taken part...

83. Day, 15. February 2011

Thanks again, Gordy!

With the already known colours …

83_1.jpg

… the saber strap is painted ready.

The Outlining very thin again, as usual, with …

83_2.jpg

In the end the strap buckle – comes along again …

83_3.jpg

Thus it has become …:

83_5.jpg

I like especially well that though the metal buckle is there, but too dominant does not shine.

84. Day, 16th of February, 2011

Thank You very much, Roger!

Today I make the last works on the field blouse – the still missing upper arm is painted.

Colours: As had …:

Looks nice, I find – and everything fits together …:

85. an 86. Day, 17. and 18. February 2011

Thank You, Gordy!

Yesterday I have finished the orders.

First once both crosses were painted aluminium-coloured.

Both crosses were painted first with "Oily Steel" …:

86_2.jpg

Afterwards the orders with a thin Wash from "Oily Steel" and black were posttreated.

86_3.jpg

Who exactly looks, moreover, can recognise that the right order is more dark painted.

The idea behind it:
The right cross is older, was carried long since and does not look any more factory-new.

The left cross is new – it shines a little bit more, but only a little bit!
Just I have with second glue …

86_8.jpg

… the small tape loop mounted – consciously a little bit crooked, as it is to be seen on many pictures.

Now thus this sees ready from …:

86_5.jpg

86_6.jpg

86_7.jpg

Who exactly looks, can recognise, that order and tape loop now also them – hardly to hair-thick! - to yellow edge lines show as this was the case in the original.

So – with it I say goodbye in the week-end!

It's coming together nicely now Martin. I particularly like the orders and the leather thingy accross the breast; the leather effect is very convincing.
And I agree, your attention to detail is striking!

Cheers,
Adrian

87. Day, 21. February 2011

Today I have made nothing other, than to take suggestions from different forums on and to rework the field blouse of my hero once more, i.e. to blind the colours even more.

Besides, I have concentrated first upon the areas of shade-basic tones.

Now the "picture" is clearly more softer …:

87_1-1.jpg

87_2-1.jpg

87_3-2.jpg

Tomorrow I will continue with the lights.

88. Day, 22. February 2011

Well, I have just dealt once more with the lights.

They were "pulled up" on top in the shoulders again a little bit – and afterwards the crossings were blinded once more.

All together I am so fairly contented. In any case, I leave it so now.

89. Day, 23. February 2011

Thank you for your very friendly words, Jamie!

I have made the experience that there is on a figure almost always a not quite successful place which can spoil the whole fun in the work for one.

From this experience I can advise only this: Make anew if it does not like. Then it becomes mostly better – and this brings back the fun!

A few days ago I had made a small survey in several forums which colour I the gun cord should paint now.

With an exception the variation "B" was preferred – to paint because the cord in „Orenburger blue“.

So Today the thing is painted blue.

Colours …:

89_1.jpg

Besides, both blue tones are of course the „weight-bearing columns“.

Result …:

89_2.jpg

89_3.jpg

I find, a nice in colour contrast arises to the field blouse, because the blue does not "bang" too much.

I have not made the fastener even today because I want to research once again whether there were these things in also another colour than the cord themselves.

90. Day, 24. February 2011

Thanks again, Jamie!

In the absence of alternatives (I have found, in any case, none) the locking piece of my cord is painted with the same colours like yesterday even today...:

90_1.jpg

90_2.jpg

And now with it the painting of the upper part of the body has an end!

However, just! Not yet completely …

91. Day, 25. February 2011

Now we come to the end:

Today as the first the auxiliary base is separated with a determined jerk from the ready upper part of the body.

91_1.jpg

Because the thing at that time only with "UHU-Alleskleber"...

91_4.jpg

… was fastened, it sat firmly enough, so that the upper part of the body could not wobble while painting to get too loose, on the other hand, however, laxly enough, him with a small "Rüttler" again.

Afterwards becomes the "invisible" side of my bust versäubert and then with pure black …

91_3.jpg

… painted...:

91_2.jpg

In the picture completely on top you see the figure part, by the way, sometimes in the "graduation 1:1" …:

91_5.jpg

Moreover, I have started putting into action my thoughts about the final presentation of my bust.

A piece is cut by an aluminium tube fitting from the outside dimension (0.5 mm) …

91_6.jpg

… and with the sanding machine at the ends flatly made …:

91_7.jpg

On the next photo the whole is fitted together already once temporarily to convey to You an impression.

91_8.jpg

The bottom comes to a suitable admission hole in the base. Finally this is stuck only when I have the base and the head is ready.

And with the head it goes on the next week.

So much for today – and: Nice week-end!

92. Day, 28. February 2011

First of all I wish You a nice new week!

I have put back the works on the head one more day, because I have taken up now, nevertheless, still the suggestions from another forum.

Who is curious on the head, must have one more day of patience.

On the cord a few highlights were put carefully. Besides, I have concentrated upon the places which would be put out to direct light from above – namely the locking piece and which cord placing, about the strap "cross" on the breast lie and, hence, a little bit protrude.

In to the places in the neck I also was in it, but very cautiously. There I must include the shade of the head.

Hold sometimes a 30-centimetre-long string vertically under direct light from above. According to light and according to shade does not do itself there also so excessively a lot …

However: Now thus this sees from …:

92_1.jpg

92_2.jpg

And tomorrow - the head! With the eye it shall go on.

93. Day, 1. March 2011

Today I would like to present to You the first eye of a bust which I have ever painted!

What concerns the relative importance between iris / pupil on the one hand and the visible parts of the eyeball, on the other hand, I have kept to this model photo.

93_10.jpg

This also corresponds quite exactly to the proportions of my own eye …:

93_11.jpg

However, I have differently chosen the colours.

First I have in the eye the irises with a blue one …

93_4.jpg

… Point painted.

In the middle of the iris I have the pupil as a smaller point with pure black …

93_5.jpg

… setted.

Afterwards I have painted the irises from (and at the same time the pupil around), while I the original blue with …

93_6.jpg

… has lightened.

The clarifications have passed away:

To explain on top brighter and down there more darkly, in order different light intensity and also to show the typical lights. Besides, I have Outside around the irises a thin deep-blue edge leave.

As the next step it went to the eyeball.

After Outside there it was worked with this mixture …

93_7.jpg

After Inside with this mixture …:

93_8.jpg

Then I have with this mixture …

93_9.jpg

… the area about the untereyelid and the small red "triangle" to the nose painted. Completely in the end I have put with pure white the reflex point in the irises.

The whole thing is so put on that our friend looks easily down and the lower part of the irises is covered by the untereyelid accordingly.

In view of lacking experience and my soon 53-year-old fingers I find – quite presumptuously - my first-born's eye really good!

94. Day, 2. March 2011

Many thanks Rodrigo and Gordy, your feedback pleases me very much!

I have tried longer around which colour should get the skin of my hero.

Suitably to the light blue eyes she should be getting light relatively.

Here my attempts …:

94_1.jpg

Then there has come out a mix of these colours here …:

94_2.jpg

… and "Sunny Skintone" and „Brown of rose“ the „weight-bearing columns" so to speak are.

Today with this mix I have painted the parts around the eyes.

Before these parts I had mostly "cuffs" because one says, nevertheless, „the face is the most important part of a bust and the most important part of the face again are the eyes“.

Well now …:

94_3.jpg

94_4.jpg

94_5_3.jpg

94_6.jpg

94_7.jpg

And before now one says: „This is too pale!“ – please thinks that the thing looks of course extreme before the dark priming and the colours – e.g., on cheeks and chin - will still change.

The "pale" impression will lie down bit by bit – the more is painted by the face and the more other colours come into play …

hello
interesting that you tackle the face like the uniform in segmented parts.never seen this before but the results speak for itself.iam really courious how you will blend and treat the single segmenets and how they will come together
cheers
