painting blacked up faces

Hi,im working on Alpine 1/16 12 ss HJ Normandy.im all done barr the last step,the blacked out charcoal face cammo,has anybody attempted this pointers would be gratefully received

I'm similar to arj but I used Mig 'Black Smoke' pigments, stippled on.

Firstly BIG WELCOME to PF good to have you here

As for blacked out , good links above , definately IMO not use black , suggest a wash of brown
