A Serbian and Hungarian invalid, each trying painfully to make their way home ca. 1917 or 1918? Mr. Larwin knows how to paint a visual story, doesn't he?

Dan, the title is Am Stephansplatz, which is in Vienna and is dated 1914 which surprised me. That visual story he tells is what really caught my eye and makes this a exceptional piece of art.

I can see what you mean about it looking like a Serbian cap Dan, further investigation required I think.

Found it! Hungarian officers and infantry wore that style of field cap.
