He has a extensive array of paintings of Native Americans HERE.
You can even sort by Tribe.

Randy Steele

This artist is a photographer who has a deep interest in the French and Indian Wars.
He describes his work:-

“The images I create are created from photographs taken at reenactment events, mainly the French and Indian War and other historical events relating to western Pennsylvania such as at the Bushy Run Battlefield.
I use a Canon 50d camera and shoot all images in the camera "raw" mode. This allows much more flexibility in post processing. The images are then edited in Photoshop to give them a painting look, and to look less like a photograph. I feel that this better represents the time period, as photography did not exist at this time, only paintings and sketches.”

These are examples of his work:-

Franz Aleksejewitsch Roubaud (Франц Алексеевич Рубо - the Russians made a simple "rubo" from his surname at the transcription) ...

...born in Odessa 1856, died at Munich (exile) 1926 was a russian painter, to whom we owe him a fairly large number of beautiful pictures of Caucasian riders and Cossacks!

Here is a selection ...:

BTW: This painting by Roubaud was template for a well known and very nice figure from "Elisena"...:

**contunued next post**

Roubaud also painted historic themes, like

Siege of the Aul of Gimrij

Tsar Aleksandr III. during a military parade at Krasnoje Sselo...:

The evacuation of the burning Sebastopol during the Crimean War...:

Station of the Transiberian Railway...:

...and others.

The best-known in the west are probably his two 360-degree paintings, each of which is the background for the battle panoramas

"Borodino 1812" ...

and "Defending Sebastopol"...

Henry Alexander Ogden

I came across this artist when searching for information on Life Guard Mess Dress for an Ensign Miniatures figure.
The site is ‘Uniformology’, and can be found HERE. It’s well worth a look and has quite a varied content.
There are seven pages of Ogdens’s prints on American uniforms from 1775 to 1910 HERE.
Further information on H.A. Ogden can be found on Wikipedia.

Cheers,
Andrew

Stefano Borin, already an established sculptor, has collaborated for this volume, other collaborations have occurred in the past, for example with the Italian magazine "soldatini"

The paintings by this artist came to my attention in this post by 'grasshopper'; and the name was confirmed by him here.

Here's a few other paintings by him:-

7e9ef28407ec7693590773d2b2d60f9c.jpg 9bfd5e78fa377051d79a667071cf827c.jpg b26dfc27170e9af563be0b2d54aae4b3.jpg c7c7a3d7f5d4a3a40738e1bd3aa9484f.jpg c998cd492361742e9c6b2401e537fd74.jpg

I have posted them as thumbnails which you can enlarge by clicking on them.
The fourth should be familiar to many.
The signature is very distinctive, so you can easily spot his work.

As 'grasshopper' stated, you can find much of his artwork on Pinterest.

In addition, I found this site with a few more of his paintings.

Cheers,
Andrew

..... Not sure if he is listed.

For anyone wanting to check if a particular artist is on the list, just click on the 'Sub-Forums: 1' button, followed by 'Part 1,2 - Index Page'

AandI-01.jpg

You'll then get the full listing like this:-

AandI-02.jpg

All the surnames are listed alphabetically, so all you have to do to check the name is scroll down.

The numbers that you see in the adjacent columns are links to the entries in the two 'Artists & Illustrators' posts.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Andrew
