My list of outstanding Russian names in post #76 has been reduced to just two who I can't get a handle on.
They are:-
Jeschow, Aleksandr Iwanowitsch and Krigonow, Petr Aleksandrowitsch

Since the spelling was taken directly from the original posts, I cannot vouch for the accuracy.
I've tried converting to Russian and searching that way, with no success.
I've also tried amending spelling, with similar lack of success.

If anyone can shed any light on these two please let me know.

Cheers,
Andrew

P.S. 15-11-2017 ... One of the names has been sorted (see post #86).
...... 16-11-2017 ... The second one has been sorted (see post #87)

Alexander Ezhov

Many thanks to Martin Rohmann for explaining how to find him on Google.
His method is to write the name (in Russian), together with his profession 'painter'. ('jai' gave similar advice in post #78).
i.e. "Художник Александр Ежов" (=Painter Alexander Ezhov").

A couple of sites can be found HERE and HERE.

Get Google to translate them.
The first one is 'Art on Line' and contains some of his work on sale.
The second one announces his death in 2014, and includes a link at the bottom to the 'Creativity of Alexander Ezhov', where you'll find many images of his work.

Cheers,
Andrew

Krivonogov, Pyotr Alexandrovich

Following Martin's advice, I fed the following into Google:-
Художник Кригонов, Петр Александрович (= painter Krivonogov, Pyotr Alexandrovich)
This led to the following site.

That completes my outstanding two names (post #85).

Cheers,
Andrew

Jacques Augustin Catherine Pajou

You can find him on English Wiki, or on French Wiki.
I prefer the French (and get Google to translate) since it has more information (not surprisingly).
He was also mentioned in the post 'Figures sculpted after famous paintings' (General Figure Talk), which you can find HERE.

Cheers,
Andrew

Georg Emanuel Opiz

Martin Rohmann mentioned him in the post 'Figures sculpted after famous paintings' (General Figure Talk), which you can find HERE (you'll find him at the end of the post).
You can find more of his paintings by following this LINK.

Jean-Léon Gérôme
Some of the pictures should be familiar since they have been sources for figures.
General info on the artist can be found HERE, while a great many of his paintings (and sculptures) can be found HERE.

I saw Martin Rohmann's reference to Mariusz Kozik in his post in Figure News.
A quick check found that this artist was on the list, but the link to his site did not seem to be working.
A quick Google search found this website which contains a large number of his paintings.
Click on the Gallery and you'll find them laid out in periods.
Here's an example of what you'll find ...

Stuart Brown

For anyone looking for modern scenes, this artist could be for you.
His work can be found HERE. Go to the Gallery where you'll find 5 pages of paintings.
He paints earlier periods, and I've chosen one of them as an example.

Another artist that I came across recently.
His speciality is Australian Military Art, which can be found HERE.
Here's an example of his work:-
