Originally from Glasgow born in 1960 , moved to Kelowna , in British Columbia, Canada

Proud of his Scottish background and very much a pillar of the community he lived and worked in

Paul married Michelle in 2005

He spent 30 years in the Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services from 1980 - 2018 rising to a high rank , always supporting his men

Paul joined PF in 2005 and contributed immensely to the forum , a wicked sense of humour and a great painter ...particularly of busts .....but no matter what he painted the result was always great and a real pleasure to see

Sadly Paul passed away unexpected on March 22nd 2023 .....RIP

The Sword and Brush which he supported has a award in memory of Paul

Paul was a great chap. I hadn’t seen him in several years as I am no longer active in the hobby.

Oh that's a real shame and very sad news indeed. I'd never met him but he was a regular poster and I sort of "knew" him remotely via thread interactions.

Hadn’t realised this Nap & Colin - sad news indeed :-(
Had lots of enjoyable discussions with Paul back in the day on MedRom Forum & Delphi.
Time seems to pass by as we pass by...
Poignant completion of Paul’s project, now Colin I understand.

I was aware of Paul’s passing last year but just wanted to add my own condolences. I’d known Paul for a very long time but our conversations were limited to a few hours every year when we would meet up in the hospitality suite at MFCA. Paul was such a fun guy, full of interesting conversation and jokes, always a pleasure to be with and a great artist too. He will be missed.

Last time when I met Paul was in October 2022 at MMSI Show or, how is more often called, the Chicago Show. He was coming from British Columbia, his new home, and I was coming from Ontario, which was his old home. We met many moons ago and we were part of a small community of figure painters and modelers gathered around our club. Great gentlemen. We spent a lot of time together during the show surrounded by many great figures... Who could have guessed that it was the last time spent together. It was a special energy in our conversation in those days, or, at least, this was my perception and this is what I remember. Great quality time spent together. At the end of the show we said good by hopping to see each other in spring 2023 at MFCA Show in Philadelphia. In March, next year, the news reached me that he suddenly passed. A very kind man and a great artist too. I'm missing him deeply.
