Steve,
That backdrop with the figure is superb, makes the figure even more life like. If thats what a lay off does I'm going to retire for a while and eat banana's while I crayon in my figures!
Brilliant

A lay off helps you to refocus sometimes....the backdrops are just a bit of fun..something to do with a finished piece..look at it in a different light so to speak and to try and put a piece in it's own habitat . I know some modelers don't like them...but it doesn't take anything away from the original..you can still show that....I see it as just a little extension to all the work which has gone into it...Thanks to everyone for the kind comments..they are much appreciated.

He just chuckled a bit Mark...think he liked it really...!!!
Grant...dig him out and paint it..it's a wonderful piece and there are several different war paints to chose from to make him different...just Google him.

Fantastic painting Steve. I like yours better than my own version.

The backdrop really adds to the figure......Except......the Pawnee did not live in this area. The Comanche, Kiowa and Apache did.

Thanks for the info Guy....just a bit of artistic license with the back drop....I really like this subject and my next piece will probably be a mounted native..cheers..
Steve.
