WIP Critique Pegaso 1/9th Spartan Warrior

Did some work on this guy today.
He's a great sculpt albeit slightly on the small scale.
Tried more contrast with the reds.
I tried the smaller red and white checks as seen on the box art about 5 times over but it was far too difficult.
So I opted for bigger black and white checks...I have to say these checks were the most difficult thing I have ever painted.
Just need to check what colour of hair Spartans had...

Figure with reds completed, armour scales not highlighted or shadowed and flesh base colour.

Helmet highlighted and checks completed.
