My second build for this year will be Pegaso's 54 mm gladiator scissor all metal kit., these first few pics show the box and the figure in primer it is assembled except the head. I did make one mod to the kit the weapon on his right arm broke off twice white metal way to soft and thin so I cut the blade out of thin sheet metal notched it and soldered on a piece of music wire. I really think I should have left the arms off for ease of painting, to late now oops. All comments welcome more to come soon.

Look forward to seeing what you do with this.

This is a superb figure and it looks as good today as all those years ago when first released and I painted mine.

That "scissor" weapon broke off mine too, I ended up scratching a new one.

Lovely little figure that, a timeless classic.

Hi Robert

Great to see what's on the bench , a classic figure and obviously popular

Good start on this like you I basecoat fully taking away the primer ( in my case I use a black )

Following with interest

Happy benchtime

I think their 54mm gladiators range was some of the best 54mm's that Pegaso have produced. I can't think of a bad one they did and this 'Scissors' was my absolute favourite as he looks so sinister and menacing. A real 'classic' !

Time for an update, I added some bronze oil paint to his armor, it has dried but dead flat not sure if I like that as armor should have at least a satin or semi gloss finish. I also added another high light coat to all the red areas pretty hard to see, I am experimenting with a light box still working things out. All comments welcome.

Thanks Nap, when the oils dry I may have to go over them with some metallic acrylic paint or give them a satin coat, I will have to think on it.
