Second try at posting IMG_3434.jpg

IMG_3428.jpg

IMG_3438.jpg still a bit to do

VERY nice work so far Ron. LOVE the pictures BTW. You were either really enjoying painting again or you're just that fast of a painter ;)

Hi Marc.Jim
the photo does show a lot of light on the bearskin Marc ,but it is not so on the
model ,just my poor photography at one point I thought there was not enough
but keep the comments coming I am here to learn,

Jim this one has been a pain from the start perhaps beginning to start back with a Hussar has been a bit ambitious, looks simple enough but every stage
has brought on a sweat.

Cheers Guys

Great work so far Ron! To tone down the intensity of your light source try taking a light weight piece of white cloth (like a white t-shirt) and place it between the light source and the bust. This should soften the light source and give you a more natural look. Still, the bust looks great!

Looks like you are making good progress with this bust Ron.Taking good photos is not easy, took me a while to get to grips with them and I could still do better.

Cheers David

Thanx Dave
Still a bit to go, I should have done some extra work on the cross belt as in the box art as on its own it is very plain, but have since put on the oils so it might be a bit late to alter.

Picked up a stack of 2X2 oak, ash and cherry squares today, dressed on two sides so need a little work but they will make nice plinths, got them at a place near carnwrath.
