As much as I love the sculpting and most probably would fork out the asked for price to purchase one, I am dissapointed to see that it is only a Limited Edition as being from another country, I will never get to see it in person. The majority of people who buy one will never build it in my opinion as it will be too valuable. Imagine the prices it will go for on the secondry market in future years!!!!

Honestly, I don't like it, and wouldn't buy it.

It looks like a miniature of a 19th century Victorian statue of Richard I, or Richard Lionheart as imagined by Walter Scott (Ivanhoe), but absolutely not like a miniature of the actual Richard I.

So, I can't join the crowd here in applauding for this masterpiece, very sorry for that... :(

... some illustration reference material to back up my comments above - see these images :

This Richard is a contemporary of Queen Victoria, Walter Scott and Jack the Ripper - not a medieval figure :

I must admit the pose is very reminiscent of Napoleon crossing the Alps by David.
No doubt this is a very fine sculpt no matter its historical inaccuracies but it is tremendously expensive for what it is. Just think of how many other kits you could buy for the money. I will be going to Euro and I'll make a point of looking at it, I may even have a change of heart. :D

Ill go at Euro only sunday.
So i think it is solled out by then. If anybody would have this figure, you can always find a member on the planet to buy one for you...With some P&P it should be yours soon.
Not that i should buy it (i'm just returned from my vacation) i find €160,- to much for my wallet these days.
And if it is historically correct or not, i find it awesome.
