Anyone actually seen/bought/held in their hand these Bases ?

They look great in the photos ;) but I wonder if they are well finished, & clean with sharp edges.

Thanks
Rich

That´s the deal! As I bought those Andrea Bases, I was VERY disappointed by them. Poor finish, scratches and some "round" edges. Not professionally made I have to ad! The Pegaso Bases look great at one glimpse; will buy one or two soon to check them out. Hopefully they are better. To be on the sure side, go for bases from David Cenchich (ups, hope to spell his name right...). Very good made, unique Woodbases. Sadly, Dave has no website (my latest information); you can meet him at Kulmbach.

Hi folks,

the manufactur of the Pegaso bases are the same as of the Elisena bases. I had the bases and they of excellent quality. Much better than the Andrea bases. I can recommend this bases.

Best regards from Germany

Richard,
there is a post I made some time ago about that, look here.
The pics you see were taken by me, the bases are top notch, the ones I have are with no imperfections at all.

Luca, Thanks for your observations about these bases. They do look well made and the cast nameplates are a different kind of alternative to the standard plates we're used to seeing.~Gary

Richard,
Used them already. Very good quality. Don't hesitate to buy them!
Best regards.

I personally directly deal with a woodworker. This way you get the exact size, essence and shape you want for often less than what these companies are selling for!

hi Rich,
I echo Pegaso Bases are top quality. I believe a little better than Elisena bases though i just learned the manufacturer is the same.
best regards

Pegaso bases are great and at normalprices. They have good finishing and staining and perfect surface. I have used them twice while making scenics for friends and i am prety satisfied. and yes the manufacturer is the same with Elisena . Try them fearless !!!!

If you are interested in high quality exotic and domestic hardwood bases you can view a small sampling of the ones that I produce on Planet Figure under my member name of Rich DiBenedetto. I sell at the MFCA and D.C. shows and have always had a very positive response to the quality and pricing. Plus I am a miiniature painter myself so I know what works. Email me with the word "bases" in the subject line at [email protected] if you are interested in buying bases.
