Very nice result, Spyros !

Some years ago I thought that painting in oils was already old fashioned way, but I see that more and more people try to paint figures using them. Is not the medium but the artistic skill that gives the result.

Well i think am an old fashioned guy...
and according to Mick Jagger ... old habits die hard!!!

I have noticed the opposite , that many people turn into acrylics
and they claim that if you learn how to use this technique you will never touch oils again..

The thing is that the more i try acrylics ...the more i prefer oils!!!

But i think its good to master both painting techniques ..
they both have advantages and defects..

I totally agree with you that what matters is the skill
not the medium

I have seen amazing figures painted with acrylics
