The Perrys have an eccentric attitude to distribution- only one outlet in my province, 6 hrs. drive away. The 40mm figs have less of the proportional distortions typical of gaming figures; they are good-looking pieces, but they still aren't realistic. But you should check out the 54mm WWI ANZACs they are making for Peter Jackson! [select a range- Peter Jackson figures]

Thanks Mike, the only stores I have found are in Canada, so I write to the Perry Brothers to see if they got any one on their list on the US or Latin America¡¡¡¡

If not I would have to buy it from then or from the canada stores.

Gracias amigo

Very worn out from Expo, but I couldn't let this topic go by without adding to the subject. In my most humble, and subjective, opinion . . .

Alan and Michael are among the small group of the very best sculptors working in our hobby today - they just work in a smaller scale (or two!). Their 40mm Napoleonic figures are, in my opinion, very lifelike - slender, well-proportioned, and a visual match for their weapons and kit. The same holds true for their smaller, 28mm lines, excepting only those parts that must be a bit bulkier to survive the casting process.

(Mike - just curious, but why do you feel as you do regarding the "realism" of these figures? Not trying to contradict you - just wondering what you see (or don't see) that you feel could/should be changed.)

I have painted several of the AWI 28mm figures, and it is almost a privilege to work on these gems. And the 40mm are excellent - check out Joe Videcki's web site to see what a talented painter can do with these figures. IMHO, the mounted hussars are on a level with the best commercial castings available today.

I'll second the suggestion for dealing with Neal at the War Store. I do not know the postal rates to your country, but I would call or email Neal to see what he can do for you. His service is second to none in our hobby, and from prior conversations, my understanding is that he moves a lot of Perry product.
