Looks great but not sold on the single braid on either temple. This may have been more of a 14th century style?

I think, it's definitely related to the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh's era, painting looks pretty historically accurate.

No argument there, John Collier’s painting represents the era. Though looking at a larger image sample, the hair looks to be braided all around. Alright you did say it was your interpretation, my interpretation is a bit different so will leave it at that.

You may have right about the braided hair, but it can't be seen very well, at least I can't see it...
Never mind, it is what it is... :)
