Howdy everyone!

First off thanks to Carl (housecarl), for coming through on my request for this bust in the market/commissions forum.

This is a Latorre sculpt that I painted up with acrylics. This project was actually finished a few weeks ago, but only this afternoon did I get the gumption to freehand the shark tattoo. Hope you all like the way he turned out.

Looks great Joe......but to be honest, was never a fan of this bust because of the "just lost my dog" look........But to be honest again, you made it work with a great paint job and by giving him a bad eye plus your natural working pics makes this an overall excellent piece of work..........(y)....

Really like this rendition Joe - very realistic flesh tones and you handled the shark beautifully; actually looks like a tat!

Cheers,
Brian
Thanks Brian!

I must of drawn about 40 sharks on a piece of paper before I got brave enough to free hand it on the bust. First to come up with a simplistic design and secondly to practice, in order to have that muscle memory to brush it on without goofing it up o_O!

Darn nice rendition Joe :)
Especially like the hat leather effect & blind eye gives him extra character.
Well done mate!

Happy festive greetings to you & yours.
Mike
Hey amigo! I appreciate your comments.

I remember when this bust was released, someone had painted him with that fogged up eye and I thought I'd do the same. It does give him that extra bit of character like you say.

Merry Christmas to you and yours too Mike!

Thanks Kevin!

Yup, Carl came through alright. Actually he had started it and had to strip it. He even offered to prime it for me. So when I got it it was already pinned and primed in black. The rest was up to me. How cool is that !
