This last week-end stood the 12th Ransard Modelling Show (near Charleroi, south of Brussels). A major (on our small, small scale) 2-day event with strong aircraft and armour bias but with the figures (especially fantasy minis) rapidly picking up.

Other than Gino Poppe (gforceman) and his missus Rita behind their stall, I had the pleasure of meeting two other prominent pF members: Benoît (Aeronaudts), the man behind CREAFIGS and whose latest WIP bust is currently on pF and Marijn Van Gils who attended with his KMK comrades.

We had a long discussion about Benoît's Indian bust of course (which actually is much smaller than I thought from the photos on pF, more like 120mm).

I also had a lengthy and passionate (what else?) exchange of ideas with Marijn concerning the hobby and our respective choice of subjects. In that respect, Marijn showed me his WIP, a WWI vignette in 54mm, as a basis for discussion. At Marijn's suggestion, I took a couple of pics of the project and am posting them in a separate thread for the pFers' appreciation.

I almost forgot how instructive, exciting and enjoyable these head-to-head discussions could be, without the white noise that occasionally clutters the forums on the Internet.

Here's some pics of Marijn and the KMK club. The show was closing up when the pics were taken hence the near-empty tables.

Aye, this makes me realize I should shave urgently...

Thanks a lot Quang! It was a great sunday for me (had to work on saturday :( ), and it was really great to discuss our passion together. It is true that bodylanguage and mimics are a definite plus in this, something we don't have over the net... Good there are some shows every now and then!

And introducing the other "blueshirts" in the first pic, from left to right: Tim Vereecke, Pascal Tognon and Rudi Meir.

We are all smiling good, aren't we?
After quang was fiddling with his camera for a long time, somebody made the remark "strange, an asian person who doesn't know his camera" (referring to most of the Japanese tourists we see overhere in Belgium a lot)! Hence the laughs... Sorry Quang!
