David Lane, a figure painter living in England, painted Jon Smith's newest 54mm Poilu. To the best of my ability to tell, Mr. Lane isn't a member of PlanetFigure. According to Jon, apparently he won't object to my posting these photos. I think Mr. Lane did a great job with the Poilu. Enjoy!

Thanks for the pics Dan. Thats a really attractive figure, I like the way the equipment has been added.
David is a very accomplished painter who also does some very extensive conversions/scratchbuilts....and a very nice guy too. It would certainly be a bonus to see more of his work on here.

Nice one.

Roy.

yeo the figure is available, have it sitting primed on the workbench. Kit also comes with a helmeted head with moustache.

Davids painting is stunning !

Dan, Thanks for posting the figure done by David Lane. He is definitely a very talented painter. I have admired his work using Metal Models figure for quite a few years. The figure by John Smith is very appealing too. I like the gear on him and he is wearing a kepi! Appreciate you sharing this with the Planet!

Happy Trails, Terry Martin
