Hello planeteers,
here is my new project, I transformed the excellent "Alexandros Models" miniature of Zeus into Poseidon !!! A minor conversion but in my eyes it's more dynamic now and with more character.
Let's primed it and put some color on it. I want to paint some parts in oil and some in acrylics. I am waiting from day to day my new acrylic colors Jo Sonja's and I am very excited.
Cheers guys,
Christos

awesome change! You could do some really cool water effects around him on the base, crashing waves and such. Very cool conversion.

That's exactly what I have in my mind Mike, Poseidon the god of water rules over it and he command it. Thanks for your warm feedback. (y)

Hi Christos,

like you as of late I've also made the switch to Jo Sonja. Firstly it's much more economical and it handles much better than any other acrylic paints out there in the market. It's smoother to apply, has great opacity coverage and dries to a flat finish.
I also hope that you bought the paint retarder to go along with the Jo Sonja paints because it will allow you to work the acrylics like oil paints. Have fun!

Thank you Carl,Ken my friends for the comments,
Calvin you are absolutely right, I am very lucky to have a friend a master painter Dimitrios Kotronias (Jimias) and he adviced me to switch colors. The truth is I was tired with Valleho because they are very "happy" and shiny colors, I need something more "artistic".

Calvin

that needs some more explanation.
I tryed a few years ago painting with acrylic (vallejo) and there retarder. But i couldn't say it works like oilpaints.

Brother Chris, :)
I think this version is much better than the presentation of the miniatures really gives such a dynamic, distinguished by the power of the GODS! ;)
Congrats Chris, waiting for the final painting of the truly divine hand you!

Cheers

It was necessary to make a repairing on the neck because it was a bit short, I also add new hair and beard gave a new inclination to the head and completed the scenic. Now it's time for me (finally) to josonjeer (yesterday I receive the new colors) :)
