As this is my first posting here and I would like to introduce my self
My name is George Hatzopoulos and I live in Greece
My mane interest is painting and collecting 25 to 40mm figures, smaller than many of you.

And here is my latest, though not based yet he is 28mm Jerome Bonaparte by Perry Miniatures at the battle of Waterloo, hope you like it…

WOW! Fantastic work considering the size of this little gem! Welcome aboard! Post more of these fantastic little guys!

Hi George,
Nice painting, considering also the size of the figure. I think Perry Miniatures are really fine subjects in 28mm, very pleasant to paint.
But why the sky blue sash? Jerome created the Order of Westphalia Kingdom on 1809, when he was the King of that Country thanks to his brother, and the sky blue colour was the distinction of that Order. But he was obliged to leave his Kingdom and to turn in France in 1813, then the Order was abolished. Two years later, at Waterloo, I suppose he carried the classic crimson sash of the "Legion d'Honneur". What do you think?
Best regards
Marcello

To tell you the truth Marcello I had now reference for the ribbon and I was puzzled until I realized that the Perrys had sculpted on it the decoration of the Order of the Crown of Westphalia so I paint it blue, I think as a reference to what he was...

thank you all
more pictures in the future

George, Welcome to Planet figure. Very nicely done. Do you have other figures in this scale you could show?~Gary

Hi George
I see...Jerome had this sash on a white jacket when he was still King of Westphalia, but on 1815 at Waterloo he was only...the brother of Napoleon, then he dressed "simply" the red sash of LH on the blue jacket, as the other Generals and Marshals present in the battle.
Let us see more little men, they are really likeable.
best regards

thank you Marcello
My knowledge about the Napoleonic Uniforms is limited and it’s not too late to correct my error
As for more pictures, probably by the end of the next week I will have finally finish Marcognet and Quiot

No that I mentioned them, Marcognet’s Jacket doesn’t have the bordure on the collet as the other generals why is that?

Hi George,
I don't know because Perry made this strangeness. Pierre Louis Binet de Marcognet was a "General de Division", then he had two rows of gold embroideries, one edging the collar and another just below, as all the French generals.
Regards
Marcello
