Does anyone know the source of this figure. I have taken this photo from HM Issue 43. It is featured in a report of the 2004 Atlanta show and painted by Rod Curtis. I've no idea of scale, unfortunately as much as I liked this publication and regret it's demise the publisher had an infuriating habit of printing pictures without naming the Manufacturer or Scale. This could be a scratchbuilt figure even.
Any help would be appreciated-If anyone has one in their grey army please contact me.
Thanks..........Keith

Hi, Keith! Off the top of my head, I'm reminded of Ulrich Puchala's large-scale figures, but I'll to go look at some pics of them to say yea or nay.

I don't think it's a portrait figure, at least, I don't think it's supposed to be Seydlitz. The face doesn't match contemporary illustrations that I've seen, and though it's hard to tell from the magazine photo, I don't think the facing and lace colors are correct for his regiment. I can't quite tell, but he might represent an officer of the Regiment Gens d-armes. But it might represent one of the other regimental commanders, and I could be talking nonsense, which I've been known to do.

If I can find anything, I'll post back here.

Prost!

Well, I'll post back now, with one update--I didn't find this figure among the 120mm figures in Puchala's line, checking at his site, or among the other scales that he carries in his catalog. So, that rules one thing out.

I do think that it's a larger scale than 54mm, because of the detail, but I could be wrong.

Still looking, prosit!

Hi, Keith, thanks for the info, and, I love a good puzzle, so it's no loss ;)

Scratchbuilt, eh? It's an excellent piece. I wish we could get more pics of it.

Prost!
