PVA & Washing up liquid.

Hi all,

Can someone tell my the significance of using PVA glue and Washing up liquid when used with inks? I use inks to when painting Space Marine miniatures. This gentleman mentioned using PVA glue and Washing up liquid but forgot to mention why he used it. I would very much appreciate if someone could tell me what each one did.

PVA is used to improve the gathering qualities of an acrylic (or ink) wash, whereas washing liquid improved the flow of acrylics.
