I echo the compliments of all the others. Great painting, and a superb job on the groundwork including incorporating the cut away of the base. Nice job Zeno. And what a neat figure. Move over grey army, new recruit coming in.

Thank you Mat, Nick and pgarri27. It is very much appreciated! I'm glad that you like the composition. The figure pose helped a lot to choose the setting.
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Thanks IronMike! Much appreciated! :)

Coat: Green
Base: Andrea Paint Set Green (APSG) #1 (2/3) + English Uniform (Vallejo) (1/3). APSG #1 is a vivid green very close to Forest Green (Scale75). I added the English Uniform to make it look more worn out.
High Highlight: APSG #4
Deepest Shadow: APSG #6
I mixed intermediate colors so that the English uniform got in all the mixes via the base color.

Cuffs, Facing, Collar: Black. This is a cold black (bluish black) but a warm black (with English uniform in it) works as well.
Base: Andrea Paint Set Black (APSB) #1+#5 (50/50)
Highlight: APSB #3
Shadow: APSB #6

Turnbacks, piping, epaulets: White
Base: Deck Tan (Vallejo)
Highlights: Ivory (Vallejo)
Shadow: Walnut (Scale75). Walnut is a little bit darker then Burnt Umber (Vallejo). If you add a little black to Burnt Umber you will get Walnut.

Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Zeno :)
