hi Gary,
after your sbs on hands , i looked up the size of a 1/16 figure and it seems they are about 110mm.
having no such figure in my collection for reference, i wondered if i might ask the various dimensions of such a piece, ie circumference of arms ect, heights to knee, waist ,shoulder and the like.
the reason i'm curious is that whislt such a scle can be drawn in 2d, its more difficult to decide how thick to make the various parts, so many thanks if you can help on this.

regards== timo

Timothy, Follow the link and scroll down a few postings. you'll find the proportion chart I typically use for a figure. Go to Planet Figure's TOOLS which is at the top of the page. Go to the "scaler" and type in the SCALE you need. I then take my proportion chart and enlarge or reduce it to the size arrived at using the scaler. I hope this helps.~Gary

Hello Tim,

Here's the chart I'm using myself. Hopefully you may find it helpful.

Cheers,

Timothy, Quang's chart is probably the better of the two. I especially like the simplified breakdown of the human forms.~Gary

hey gary, hi Quang!
yes , i have seen thes on a drawing web-site,re-prints of an old book i think. i draw in similar fashion for my scales.
my question was probably poorly phrased. what i was curious about was;

if you took you vernier guage to a finished figure, how thich would say the arms and legs be? depth of the chest or head pehaps? that sort of thing.
the theory on Greek proportion was that the neck, arm and calf be the same, the chest be 1.5x the waist ect. would you guys use the same ideas?
i have one 120 mm fig but its a verlinden piece, a female with legs that could shame arnie in a pose down!!! :lol:

Quang- liked your mannequins in your previous articles, shame you dont sell them. thanks for the link mate!

hope i phrased the q. better this time.

all the best-timo
