quick primer question

i would like to try the 2 or 3 primer application . so i would paint the whole bust black then great from what angle ? then white from the top ? the bust in question is in my sbs post below .

Paint it all grey with an emphasis on front, back and sides of bust.
then black from bottom then white from top (light applications of both)

I do black all over. Then a light dust of white from above at about 45° all round. Then more from above at my chosen light direction.

If I want an extreme light direction, say I want to paint something at night lit by fire, I'll spray the white from the light source direction only.
